Saturday 2nd Royston Ale Trail Meet at 1:45 PM at the Jolly Postie to enjoy the town’s pubs for the afternoon. Provisional trail:
14:20-14:30 head to the Heath Café;
15:15-15:30 head to the King James;
16:00-16:15 head to Banyers;
16:45-17:00 head to Manor House;
18:00-18:15 head to the British Legion.
This event will be led by Matt Miller, our Royston-resident Social Media Coordinator.

Wednesday 13th Knebworth Good Beer Guide Meet at Knebworth station at 7:45PM* e.g. take train from Royston 7:16, Baldock 7:24, Letchworth 7:27 Hitchin 7:33, Stevenage 7:39. Ride-share to Lytton Arms Old Knebworth; ride-share back to The Station pub around 8:45 PM. Trains home around 10 PM or 11 PM*

Hertfordshire Beer of the Year Presentation
McMullen’s AK Original Mild was declared 2024 Hertfordshire Beer Of The Year at a blind tasting recently held at the St.Albans Beer and Cider Festival. South Herts CAMRA have arranged for the presentation to be held at McMullen’s Red Lion, 88 Great North Road, Hatfield, AL9 5EU on Thursday 21 November 2024 at 8pm. We will have a separate room so as not to clash with the pub’s speedquiz and Mac’s have kindly arranged for some food to be laid on. The Red Lion is just 250 yards north of the Hatfield Railway and Bus Station.
Saturday 30th: South Herts CAMRA’s Hertford Autumn Ale Trail
Meet at the Black Horse, West Street at 1 PM. See Itinerary right. North Herts members meet at Stevenage Rail Station to catch the 12:03 to Hertford North. Rail Replacement Service may apply. Check nationalrail.co.uk for details before departing.

On from Tuesday 3rd – Saturday 8th is East London & City CAMRA’s Pigs Ear Festival. See website for details.
Branch visit date Friday 6th Meet outside the Round Chapel at 11:30 – 11:45 a.m. Suggested route Thameslink Train to Finsbury Park arriving 10:51, 254 Bus at 11:01 from Stop R to Aldgate alighting at Clapton Girls’ Tech College.
Anyone preferring an earlier start with brunch before the festival email chair@northherts.camra.org.uk for alternative train/bus times.
Friday 13th Traditional Pre-Christmas Ale Trail in Hitchin – start time, 7:30 PM at the Radcliffe Arms, from where we’ll take in The Victoria, The Hamm, BBs Bar and The Half Moon. Christmas jumpers optional.
